The Oldest Game

Had a day off from work today, so went down to the swimming pool with a friend, who came out looking more or less like a tomato... a sore, peeling tomato who would scream if you hit him in the arm.

Anyway, that isn't why I'm posting this at the moment. There is another reason (aside from the fact that I haven't blogged in a while and felt like I should do so). The reason is that I discovered a game today. Not this game (trust me, if you now what this one is, you wouldn't click the link. Others, feel free to do so) but another one; one billed as "The Oldest Game." I first came across it in the pages of a graphic novel known as The Sandman (Kinda dark overtones, but entertaining none the less) published by Vertigo, now an arm of the DCcomics organisation (If you've ever met me, you'd know I have a random amount of knowledge about movies and, even more so, comics and graphic novels). The pages are here, read them in order, as it makes no sense otherwise (1, 2, 3). To play, you have to describe yourself as an animal, item or idea which trumps that which your opponent has said. No sudden escalations ("I am a fly," "I am a nuclear bomb"), and the way you lose is if you can no longer think of anything to trump your opponent.

There is no limit to the number of players, and it's fun if you have a thread going on a discussion board and need to start up something but can't think of anything, also if you're driving for a long time, cross-country or something like that. Enjoy.

Whatever you do... don't think about what they use to make sausages...

This is awesome for some reason. The title of the site is "Pizza creations that you will die if you attempt to eat" or something along those lines. Thus it is like the whole; "the first person to thin about apie loses," in that now I want to try to eat one... It cannot be done!!!!

PVS (Post-Viewing Syndrome)

Apparently people have been feeling depressed after watching Avatar because... get this... they can't visit Pandora...

This is not a joke... people have been feeling depressed, even suicidal after watching the movie because "they loved the planet Pandora and want to stay there." I mean, come on people... I don't go out feeling paranoid after watching slasher movies bacause I think there might be a serial killer after me, or check under my bed after watching Where the Wild Things Are. THIS IS NOT NORMAL!!!

That is all...

Oh, and here is the news article about it if you still don't believe me.
