ASK BLAKE

I have decided to do a semi-whenever I feel like it Q&A session. If you have a question you want to ask any of the characters of the comic, send me an email and I may or may not get around to posting a comic based on the response mostly depending on whether or not my computer spazzes out on me again

NEWS!

So, anyway, I flunked out of my Education Uni course...

I enrolled in a TAFe course yesterday, though. So starting March I'll be doing a Digital Interactive Media course, which is basically animations and web design stuff, so it should help me with the comic site...

YAY!

Todays comic will be up a little late today, but it will be up today. I promise... I will get the comic up today if it's the last thing I do! Actually, it probably will be...

The Oldest Game

Had a day off from work today, so went down to the swimming pool with a friend, who came out looking more or less like a tomato... a sore, peeling tomato who would scream if you hit him in the arm.

Anyway, that isn't why I'm posting this at the moment. There is another reason (aside from the fact that I haven't blogged in a while and felt like I should do so). The reason is that I discovered a game today. Not this game (trust me, if you now what this one is, you wouldn't click the link. Others, feel free to do so) but another one; one billed as "The Oldest Game." I first came across it in the pages of a graphic novel known as The Sandman (Kinda dark overtones, but entertaining none the less) published by Vertigo, now an arm of the DCcomics organisation (If you've ever met me, you'd know I have a random amount of knowledge about movies and, even more so, comics and graphic novels). The pages are here, read them in order, as it makes no sense otherwise (1, 2, 3). To play, you have to describe yourself as an animal, item or idea which trumps that which your opponent has said. No sudden escalations ("I am a fly," "I am a nuclear bomb"), and the way you lose is if you can no longer think of anything to trump your opponent.

There is no limit to the number of players, and it's fun if you have a thread going on a discussion board and need to start up something but can't think of anything, also if you're driving for a long time, cross-country or something like that. Enjoy.
