IT'S OVER 100!

So anyways, as some of you will have noticed, I recently passed a hundred comics... Surprisingly, I haven't quit in a furious rage by now, which was my first prediction when I started the comic. My second prediction was that if the first didn't happen, I'd get awesome and famous, but that hasn't happened either (But here's hoping)...

Anyways, on a not so serious note, did you know that in France, in the 1700's, a pig was executed by public hanging for the murder of a small child? I'm not kidding... I couldn't even make this stuff up if I- well... no, I probably could make something like this up if I really wanted to, but I digress... A number of things bother me about this... Firstly: What thought process do you have to go through to find a pig guilty of murder?! What, was the pig possessed by an evil spirit? Or was it simply exacting vengeance for its slaughtered pig comrades? Secondly, on a more technical note: How would that even work? I mean, wouldn't the pig just slip through the noose? You'd have to, like... invent an entirely new knot simply so that you could hang a pig! Lastly, and not really a query, but those peasants watching must've had a field day! There must've been a massive brawl with all those onlookers attempting to get ahold of that free bacon for their dinner.

Mmmmm.... Bacon.... Tasty, delicious, bacon...

100! Soon, that is...

As I noted not-so briefly in the comments under todays comic, Fridays comic is going to be the 100th comic. As also noted there, I don't actually know what to do for it. Thus, if anyone has any ideas as to what I could do for it, send me an email using the email address on the Contact Us page.

I'll consider all ideas, no matter how crazy or non-linear they might be (but no nudity or swearing, thanks) and the idea I like the best will magically appear through this thing we call the interwebs onto the site on friday (or possibly Saturday. It depends on how busy I am and on how complicated the winning idea is).

We interrupt your usual programming...

April Fool's Day is indeed a good movie, if a bit predictable unoriginal. Personally, I blame M. Knight Shamalayan (AKA: That guy who made The Sixth Sense). Mainly this is because after that movie, every director and his chihuahua wanted to make a movie with a twist ending, but I digress...

The movie does indeed have a twist ending, but it's not what I said in the comic... well, it sorta is and it sorta isn't...

Anyway, I have an annoying habit of giving away the ending to movies. Most of the time I don't mean it. I just come up with the most stupid idea I can think of and spout it out. So really, whos fault is it? Mine or the idiots who make the movies...?

Other stuff that I'm working on

Okay, so I think I've mentioned this before, but I'm just bringing it back up now, but I'm starting out with another comic with a bunch of other people over on ComicFury. It's a superhero type thing, and I've got a few characters based on the guys over here at STF that should be making appearances whenever I get to write and draw up a story, as there are quite a few of us working on it. It should be based on the DC style of things, with separate story arcs and everything, so the art and writing style will change between arcs as we change one writer and artist out and put in another. But anyway, I'm rambling. The main reason I posted this is that I've got a few pages done already, which is just the origins story for Fluke, the hero I created for the thing. The links are below, in order, and if you like it, I'll post to let you know when the actual thing's up and running so you can check it out.

So anyways, I was trawling through Aladdins on wedensday (Aladdins is the local pawn store. No, not that porn, the other one) and came across a copy of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. It's a really good movie. It has Sean Connery playing Alan Quartermain, and a bunch of other actors playing other random literary characters (Mina Harker from Dracula, Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde, the Invisible Man, etc) who must save the world. Surprise, surprise, surprisingly good movie... If a little bit strange... I still recommend it.
